REVIEW: AHC 2011 SYDNEY
Another year, another full house at Sydney’s Roundhouse venue for AHC 2011. On Saturday July 16th Sydney’s finest dance crews put it all out on the floor & impressed judges Jesse Rasmussen (So You Think You Can Dance finalist), Luke Mercado (Australia’s Got Talent finalist) and Daisuke Iwase (Dilated NU) with their mind-blowing tricks & urban choreography.
Varsity crew entrant UYP opened the evening’s show with Instant Bun and SKB also coming out to support their fellow Sydney dancers. The whole night was filled with such a positive atmosphere and love for dance that the event did not feel like a competition but more a night of celebration for Sydney’s love for dance. The AHC judges also showcased their talents at the end of the preliminary with their very own freestyles further inspiring the hyped dance crews.
Congratulations to dGen, Creative Identity and UDP for taking out the Open division 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings respectively. In our Varsity division Kookies and Kream trained by SYTYCD Jet took out first place followed by X!plosion and CodeX. The hotly contested Junior division saw Baby beatz and QTP qualify.
With the AHC Sydney preliminaries concluding all the qualifying rounds for the AHC finals, there is now a new and exciting addition to 2011 AHC for our dance crews hoping to become the 2011 Wildcard entrant! Keep glued to our website for further details being launched soon!
